After the temple and lunch the heat wave broke and temperatures dropped 15 degrees in an hour. We figured that called for a stop at the zoo to see how it looked.

Ben's First Temple Visit

Benjamin finally got to participate in temple ordinances today in St. Louis. We were joined there by both sets of grandparents and had a marvelous time. He said it felt like he had been there before.

Back to School BBQ

Over 600 came to our annual back to school bash this year. We went through a lot of meats, sodas, and cotton candy! As you can see the face painters were a big hit.

The Whole Mohammad and Mountain Thing

Kimberlie and I tried out a new recipe this week - homemade Duncan Donuts! Withdrawal must have gotten the best of me. We found out how to made the jelly filling and everything. This batch is cooling before getting powdered and filled.

Went with the Kennings today for some fun. The new chant is, "You got pins!"

Football Camp Starts

Nathan started football camp this week for Parkview HS. He is just a little bit excited.

The boys decided to earn another badge on Friday morning - metalwork. They got to heat, cut, and hammer like crazy.

You know if it involves throwing sharp objects the boys would love it. Free time Thursday found us at a new attraction - tomahawk throws. Carter was the only one to stick one on his first try.

We had an all LDS fireside on Wednesday night. Several stake presidency members from the area came down to speak. No icecream though :(
